Cleverfy vs Woffu:
Honest Comparison 2026

Same base price, but what happens when your company grows beyond 10 employees? We compare transparency, limits and features.

Quick summary

The main differences at a glance

C

Woffu

Veteran time tracking tool in Spain

  • €1.50/user/month (Lite) — maximum 10 employees
  • Pro and Enterprise: custom pricing ("contact us")
  • +3,000 clients, 350,000 users
  • Barcelona office, owned by Visma (Norway)
  • No kiosk mode or QR/PIN on Lite — Enterprise only
  • More HR features in higher plans

💰 Price: Cleverfy vs Woffu

Same base price, but with one key difference: the employee limit

Cleverfy

Basic Plan €1.50/user/month
Pro Plan €2.50/user/month
Lifetime (10 users) €699 one-time
Lifetime (30 users) €2,099 one-time

No employee limit on any plan. All prices published.

Woffu

Lite (≤10 users) €1.50/user/month
Pro Contact us
Enterprise Contact us

Lite limited to 10 employees. Pro and Enterprise: price not published.

⚠️ The growth trap: Woffu Lite is limited to 10 employees — a number many SMEs quickly exceed. As soon as you hire employee number 11, you need to upgrade to the Pro plan with custom pricing. You won't know how much you'll pay until you contact sales. With Cleverfy, the price doesn't change even if you have 100 employees.

🏆 Result: For companies with up to 10 employees, the base price is identical. The difference lies in transparency: Cleverfy publishes all its prices and has no employee limits. If you plan to grow, Cleverfy gives you predictability.

📱 Clocking from a shared device?

If your employees clock in from a shared tablet or computer (restaurants, workshops, shops, factories, clinics…), this matters to you.

🚨

With Woffu you need the Enterprise plan

Clocking by QR code and PIN code — essential for each employee to identify themselves on a shared device — is only available on Woffu's Enterprise plan, whose price is not public and requires contacting sales.

If you have a restaurant with 15 employees clocking from a kitchen tablet, Woffu Lite won't work (10-employee limit) and the Pro plan doesn't include QR/PIN either. You're forced to get Enterprise.

With Cleverfy, kiosk mode is included in all plans

From €1.50/user/month, with no employee limit. Install Cleverfy on a tablet, activate kiosk mode and each employee clocks in with their personal PIN. That simple.

  • Kiosk mode — dedicated screen for clocking on a shared device
  • Individual PIN — each employee identifies with their personal code
  • Included in Basic — no Premium or Enterprise plans needed
  • Ideal for hospitality, retail, manufacturing, clinics — where not everyone has their own computer

🖥️ Ease of use and setup

Both are simple, but with different approaches

Cleverfy — Simple by design

  • 10-minute setup
  • Minimalist interface, no unnecessary features
  • One-click clocking (web, app, Chrome, kiosk)
  • No learning curve

Woffu — Established and functional

  • Interface tested by 350,000 users
  • Well-rated mobile app (iOS and Android)
  • More features = more menu options
  • 15-day free trial

☕ Break and pause management

The upcoming Royal Decree will require each break to be recorded personally, directly and immediately. How does each tool handle breaks during the workday?

Cleverfy — Configurable break policies

  • Break policies configurable by the company
  • Differentiated break types (lunch, coffee, personal…)
  • Countable or non-countable break marking
  • Configurable limits (daily, weekly, monthly), minimum and maximum durations
  • Employee records each break in real time (personal, direct and immediate)
  • Supervisor and HR notifications, justifications required

Woffu — Automatic or generic breaks

  • Automatic breaks: fixed deduction configured in the schedule, without the employee clocking
  • Manual breaks: employee clocks out and in, without additional context
  • No break types (lunch, coffee, personal…)
  • No countable / non-countable differentiation

⚠️ Watch out for automatic breaks: The Royal Decree draft will require recording to be "personal, direct and immediate". An automatic break time deduction — where the system subtracts an hour without the employee doing anything — could fail to meet this requirement. Cleverfy records each break individually when the worker starts and ends it.

⚖️ Legal compliance

Both comply with current regulations — but the upcoming Royal Decree will add requirements

Cleverfy

  • Designed for Spanish regulations
  • Immutable records + timestamp
  • Full traceability of every modification
  • Inspection access + 4-year retention
  • Individual break recording (ready for the Royal Decree)

Woffu

  • Barcelona office (owned by Visma, Norway since 2022)
  • Compliant with Art. 34.9 of the Workers' Statute
  • ISO 27001, 27018 and 27701 certifications
  • Biometrics on Enterprise (though recent rulings question their legality in Spain)
  • +10 years in the Spanish market

⚖️ In summary: Both comply with current regulations. Woffu has the advantage of experience (+3,000 clients) and ISO certifications. Cleverfy is 100% Spanish and built from scratch to comply with what the upcoming Royal Decree will require, including individual break recording. Woffu was born in Barcelona but since 2022 belongs to the Norwegian group Visma.

📞 Support and customer service

Both are Spanish companies with support in Spanish

Cleverfy

  • Email within 24h (Basic) / 4h (Pro)
  • Personalised onboarding (Pro)
  • Close, personal treatment from a small team

Woffu

  • Email and chat support
  • Help centre with documentation
  • Established team (backed by Visma)

Frequently asked questions: Cleverfy vs Woffu

Is Woffu better than Cleverfy for time tracking?

Woffu is an established tool with over 3,000 clients and a solid track record. However, their Lite plan (€1.50/user/month) is limited to 10 employees. If you exceed that number, you need the Pro plan with custom pricing. Cleverfy offers the same base price with no employee limit and all prices published.

How much does Woffu cost compared to Cleverfy?

Woffu Lite costs €1.50/user/month, same as Cleverfy Basic. The difference: Woffu Lite has a maximum of 10 employees. If you need more, you must upgrade to the Pro plan whose price is not public ("contact us"). Cleverfy maintains €1.50/user/month with no employee limit, and its Pro Plan (€2.50/user/month) also has a published price.

What happens if my company grows beyond 10 employees with Woffu?

With Woffu, once you exceed 10 employees you must switch to the Pro plan, whose price is not published and is negotiated directly with their sales team. With Cleverfy, the price is the same whether you have 5 or 500 employees: €1.50/user/month (Basic) or €2.50/user/month (Pro).

Does Woffu publish all its prices?

Woffu publishes the price of its Lite plan (€1.50/user/month, up to 10 employees), but the Pro and Enterprise plans are "custom pricing" and require contacting sales. Cleverfy publishes all its prices on its website, including Lifetime Deals.

How does Woffu handle breaks and pauses?

Woffu offers two options: automatic breaks (a fixed deduction configured in the schedule, without the employee clocking) or manual (the employee clocks out and in without additional context). It doesn't allow differentiating break types or marking them as countable or non-countable. Cleverfy records each break individually when the worker starts and ends it, as the upcoming Royal Decree will require.

Can you clock in with kiosk mode or QR on Woffu Lite?

No. On Woffu, QR code and PIN clocking is only available on the Enterprise plan, whose price is not public. If you have a restaurant, workshop or shop where employees clock in from a shared tablet, you would need Woffu's most expensive plan. Cleverfy includes kiosk mode in all plans, including Basic at €1.50/user/month.

Which one is easier to set up?

Both are relatively simple. Cleverfy can be configured in about 10 minutes and is designed so anyone can use it without training. Woffu, offering more HR features in its higher plans, may require a bit more setup time.

Do Woffu and Cleverfy comply with Spanish regulations?

Yes, both comply with current time tracking regulations (Art. 34.9 ET). The difference is that Cleverfy has been designed from scratch taking into account the requirements of the draft new Royal Decree (digital registration, individual breaks, Labour Inspection access), so the adaptation when it comes into force will be minimal. Woffu, as an established tool, will need to adapt its current processes to the new requirements.
